Bison, the beautiful bovid was the creature feature 2 weeks ago.  The weather was crisp and clear .  A nice day to walk to the bison, but first we learned about bison.  We talked about what a herd is and read a nice story called Grandfather Buffalo by Jim Arnosky:

We treked over to see our 5 year old girls Sioux and Lakota and gave them some browse and pumpkins for a treat.  We then came back to class to make our own bison herd to take home with us.
