Awesome Autumn

Standard

This is one of the most beautiful times of the year and worthy of a little celebration.  We learned all about what trees lose

their leaves and the colors they change.  We also learned a bit about what animals do during this time.  I brought in a great big bag of autumn color, just in time before the rains and we had our very own indoor leaf pile to play in.  We sang this is the way we rake the leaves in the early autumn morning..and it ended in a great big pile play!

We read one of my favorite stories:  Fletcher and the Falling Leaf by Julia Rawlinson:

We finished our class with a custom designed autumn wreath.
