I Wanna Be a Zookeeper

Today was career day at Toddler Tuesday. We met the keepers and learned a little bit about their job. We found out what our keepers Susan and Audra love about being an animal keeper.  They love seeing all the animals every day.  Their least favorite things about this line of duty is feeling dirty and sweaty all the time and yard work.

We had a great time discussing all the details of feeding, cleaning and caring for the animals.  We sang songs, read a cute story Zoozical by Judy Sierra and illustrated by Marc Brown.

At the end of the class the little ones earned their keys to the zoo with a warning:

Don’t lose your keys or leave locks unlocked or the animals will get out and you will get in big trouble with the boss!
